Tim Carter shows the usefulness and versatility of a sawzall. The sawzall is a great tool to have on any remodeling project or new house construction.
Using an older hand saw is doing it the hard way. A sawzall will add power to your cutting. It can be used to cut wood, steel, plastics and other materials. In addition, you can use cut shapes or curves, that you can't with a traditional hand saw.
Sawzall blades are small and thin. The blades can be change quickly to reduce your downtime. There is a variety of styles for the different materials you are cutting and different type blades for rough or finish cuts.
The sawzall will allow you to cut a hole in the center of a piece of wood without first drilling a pilot hole. Place the blade at a very low angle to the wood and turn it on. Gently push the blade down into the wood. Once the blade has gone all the way through the wood, you can continue your cut as normal.
