JEE Advanced is one of the most awaited examinations for engineering aspirants in India. It paves the way for the students to get admission in India’s premier institutes like IITs, NITs and other government institutions. Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2021 will be held on October 3rd this year. The examination is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. The new information brochure for JEE Advanced 2021 has been released by IIT, Kharagpur on September 3. The updated brochure is also available on the official website.
According to the information on the JEE Advanced 2021 brochure, the candidates who have registered for JEE Advanced 2020 but were absent for the JEE Advanced conducted in 2020 are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2021. However, these candidates must register again this year.
JEE Advanced Registration
The online registration for JEE Advanced 2021 started on 15th September and the closing date was 20th September 2021. The last date to pay the registration fee is 21st September. The candidates must fulfil certain eligibility requirements to proceed with the JEE Advanced registration. The candidates must register on the official website by clicking on the registration link and entering the login credentials. On the registration page, candidates must fill in the details like the name, address, date of birth, education qualification etc. The next step is to upload the scanned copy of the photograph, signature and certificates. After filling in all the details, the registration fee can be paid via debit card/credit card/E-challan/E-wallets/Internet Banking/ UPI.
The registration fee for SC, ST and PwD candidates is ₹ 1400 and for all other candidates, it is ₹ 2800. Foreign nationals are also allowed to appear for JEE Advanced 2021. They have to present a copy of their passport or citizen certificate. The registration fee for candidates from SAARC countries is USD 75 and for candidates from non-SAARC countries is USD 150.
JEE Advanced Admit Card
The candidates whose application forms are accepted by the examination authority can download the admit card from the official website. It is mandatory to carry the admit card along with ID proof to the examination hall. The ID proof can be an Aadhaar Card, Driving licence, School/College ID, Passport or PAN card. The JEE Advanced admit card will be available to download from 25th September 2021 till the day of examination. The candidates are supposed to check the details printed on the admit card thoroughly for any discrepancy. After checking the details, candidates can download the admit card and keep it safe. The candidates without admit cards will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
The admit card will have details like the candidate’s name, parent’s or guardian’s name, date of birth, gender, category of the candidates, JEE Main 2021 roll number, JEE Advanced 2021 roll number, centre code, date and time of the examination, candidate’s photograph and signature. The admit card will also have the examination day guidelines. It is advised to read the guidelines thoroughly before the examination.
